Having Children in Rune Factory 5
In aRune Factory 5 opposite-sex marriage, once players agree to have a child with their partner, it will take two weeks before the process can start. Two weeks after agreeing to have a child, players need to speak to their partner to arrange a trip to the clinic. At the clinic, players will learn if they are pregnant; if they are pregnant, players can choose whether they want a boy or girl, and what their personality will be:
- Charming - boys only
- Active - boys only
- Quiet - both boys and girls
- Mature - girls only
- Energetic - girls only
After this appointment, players need to wait for three more weeks in-game. After three weeks, players speak to their Rune Factory marriage partnerto initiate the cutscene where their baby is born. At this point, players get to name the child. Players can have three children inRune Factory 5, and if they want more, they have to wait a year. However, when they have children again, they will have twins.
In a same-sex marriage, the process is the same, except instead of visiting a clinic to find out about pregnancy, the couple visits Captain Livia about adoption. Captain Livia will mention the Great Tree inRune Factory'stown plaza, which grants miracles. The couple goes to the tree, makes a wish, and then has to wait the same amount of time. Two weeks later, players need to speak to their spouse to decide on their personality and whether they would want a boy or girl, and after three weeks, they will have a baby to adopt. Regardless of whether players marry the same sex or opposite sex, they have the same time-delay and choices to make for having children inRune Factory 5.
